Who are we?
Wisbech Lions Club (CIO 1173380) was Chartered in 1972. It is one of many groups of service-minded people worldwide, who make up the global family known as Lions Clubs International. We are part of Lions District 105CE, one of the eight Districts made up of Lions Clubs from across the British Isles. www.lions105ce.org
We currently have 25 members and are proudly twinned with Lions Club of Rye, Victoria, Australia http://rye.vic.lions.org.au
Our members come from all walks of life with a common interest – to serve our community. Together with other Lions Clubs throughout the world, we also aim, through service, to have an impact on global issues of Hunger, Vision, Environment, Childhood Cancer and Diabetes.
Our motto is ‘We Serve’
When and where do we meet?
1st Wednesday of each month at 7.15pm at The Oasis Community Centre, St. Michael’s Avenue, Wisbech. PE13 3NR all welcome. At this meeting we plan activities, make decisions on welfare applications and encourage potential members to join us.
As members of the Lions family we enjoy friendship and having fun together. On the 3rd Wednesday of each month we enjoy a social event. This is usually locally and in support of local businesses, many of whom support us.
